Examples of typical cross-border M&A Projects

Typical cross-border M&A Projects include:

  • An overseas government agency asked me to assist them in the design and implementation of a divestiture strategy for one of its subsidiaries, a government sponsored and financed business that clearly belonged in the private sector. As a result of this sell-side mandate I was able to find an internationally operating acquirer which ultimately was acquired itself by Office Depot.

  • The owners of a $60 million independent contract dealership based in Switzerland engaged my services to coordinate all aspects of an international, strategic, discrete auction among targeted resellers throughout Europe and North America. The effort resulted in a successful transaction with the transaction value exceeding owners’ expectations by 30 percent.

  • A Chicago based contract stationer with a leading market position in the U.S., engaged me to identify, select and introduce potential acquisition targets in Europe. Within 12 months, they had made two acquisitions resulting from this engagement.

  • The world’s largest office products distribution company, Staples, engaged me with the objective of assisting them in accelerating their cross-border acquisition strategy. As a result the company was able to announce two successful acquisitions in overseas markets, in Scandinavia and Austria.
